Inspired by Soviet Union's old poster.
The Spaceship ( in red ) was made up of a Chinese Bottle Gourd (or calabash) symbolizes heaven and earth, hence the universe.

XXI The Universe
In the Thoth tarot deck , The World (XXI) card is known as XXI: The Universe

This is the last submission for IDN Universe contest, which is the longest time (1 weeks) i took from research to completion of artwork. Initially I only planned to make this illustration for the contest but after doing some research I decided to create 2 more for the contest.

From One of my favourite Chinese Folk Tale.
About a poor and kind young man by the name of Ma Liang who liked to draw alot and he drew pictures everywhere. One night, he dreamed that an old man gave him a magic paintbrush and asked him to use it to help poor people. When he woke up, he found the magic paintbrush in his desk. The magic paintbrush could turn everything to life.
From that day, he used the paintbrush whenever people needed help.
For the artists, illustrators and designers ( You , You and yes you!) that created something out of nothing and bringing things to life . Zoo of animals~!

According to tales , Momotaro( 桃太郎 ) came to Earth inside a giant peach and years later, left his parents for an island called Onigashima to destroy the marauding oni. That's what the tales said...
What if he was born as a Yakuza (ヤクザ or やくざ ) , and grow up as a oni (demon or orges)...
Here's a twisted version , inspired by Monkeycrapshit.

*Just when I thought I had a hell of times trying to get a full time job, the freelances just got better.
After I started to create tee-design for submission in Designsbyhuman lately, just to win cash for that awesome Revelations tee by Jimiyo (Called me cheapskate, ha). I find myself getting laid on more freelances on tee shirt design. Great
Hmmm, maybe I should go for more cute or smart design next time because i had never win once before , boo.

1 Litre of Tears (1リットルの涙, Ichi Rittoru no Namida) (also called A Diary with Tears or A Diary of Tears) , the true story of a Japanese girl named Kito Aya, who suffered from spinocerebellar ataxia when she was 15 years old, and was able to continue her life until her death at the age of 25 years old.
She kept writing in her diary to remember her experiences until she could no longer hold a pen. Aya simply wished to live until the end of her life, and the purpose of writing in the diary was to remind herself to not give up. She shed tears many times, at the same time encompassed by the rich love and support from her family, friends, and boyfriend. Her diary “1 Litre of Tears” was published after her death, because of its inspiring and courageous message of, “Just being alive is such a lovely and wonderful thing.” So far, over 18,000,000 copies of her diary have been sold.
“Just being alive is such a lovely and wonderful thing”. - Aya
"In order to reach the state i am now, where i'm smiling happily, it took me a litre of tears... " -Aya
In the shore across the sadness
It’s said that a smile is there
And when we arrive there
What will wait us there?
It’s not for running away
It’s to chase the dream
Should have gone to a trip
On that far summer day
Just trying out something different...

Backdated post. The Trip took place on 18th june
It's my first time actually taking a flight to another country ( I used to travel by ship , i won't tell you why? Hehe) .
It's been a great experience to Taipei . I was tired out every single day - too much walking and too much to see. In fact, we cancelled out some places that we planned to go because we were too tired. We took a total of about 300+ pictures from our 6-day stay.
I'm very impressed by the culture there. Everyone is very polite and helpful. They will always say "Please", and "Thank you", and customer service is so much better as compared to Singapore.
Looking foward for another trip to Taipei again. Someday , sometime , when i'm loaded. Hehe.
(*Thanks Chuan for the many helps, guide and info to Taipei.)
